A very fine antique French wine decanting cradle from the 19th century.
Early wine decanting cradles are hard to find in good working order.
This example has a cradle that is wider (4 inch).

Has an original winding handle and a base decorated in flowers.
Unfortunately the bow arm is missing from the top. Aswell as one screw fixing. Although this does not hinder its function. 
 
Very Rare Item, Previously Owned by the Cadbury Family. 
Extremely Rare example- most are found in rubbed silver plate.  Not Brass, as this is.

Works mechanically and is in excellent condition.
